The Catalan giants of FC Barcelona continue to mark their remaining objectives for the summer transfer window in terms of both expected arrivals at the club and departures simultaneously.
However, the summer thus far has been nothing short of a roller coaster. At first, the arrivals seemed to be going just as expected for Barcelona and the negotiations for expected departures were also advancing. Yet not too long after, an unforeseen exit took place.
The case of French winger Ousmane Dembele was one that no one at Barcelona had anticipated to be coming, yet the 26-year-old decided to part ways with the club and go on to new Parisian pastures with PSG.
Now, as the summer evolves, there is yet another star within the Barcelona squad who has recently been involved in echoes of a potential departure away from the Catalan capital, and a reliable source now confirms that interested parties do in fact exist for his signature.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, there are a handful of clubs that remain interested in opening talks with FC Barcelona to inquire and assess the possibility of acquiring the services of 20-year-old La Masia product Ansu Fati.
Once considered to be the pillar of the new revolution of youngsters at Barcelona following the slow departures of the old Catalan guard, injuries since have stalled his development but the young Spaniard continues to showcase his commitment and display moments of magic with more and more consistency alluding to the fact that he may regain his former spark once more.
Romano also confirms that while the interest of these parties remains there, Ansu Fati himself continues to insist that his future remains at Barcelona as he has previously been reported to have said and stated several times already.
At the moment, the decision to open talks with any interested clubs remains with FC Barcelona and the Catalan club gets to be the party to decide if they wish to listen to offers for their current number 10.
