FC Barcelona know that their summer transfer window is going to be a complete rollercoaster. Beyond just the players that they hope to sign, they will also have to worry about something entirely different. Moreover, with their limited financial resources, Barcelona can hardly be considered a market juggernaut.

One of their main concerns in the summer is definitely going to replacing Xavi Hernandez, however. The Spanish coach has already announced his decision to leave Barcelona at the end of the season, and the Catalan club is already looking for possible replacements.

Among those possible replacements, there are a few different names highlighted. From Girona to Arsenal, many of those names involve managers already obligated to certain clubs. However, one name in particular stands out for being both a free agent and a well-renowned coach.

Hansi Flick, former manager of Bayern Munich and the German National team, is one of the hottest names being linked to Barcelona right now. In his first season with Bayern, he managed to win the coveted sextuple and match Barcelona’s legendary achievement.

Afterwards, he managed to even have a short stint with the German national team, and although it wasn’t nearly as successful as his Bayern experience, it was still an achievement nonetheless. Now, amidst reports from Germany claiming he is already learning Spanish, there is a major new update.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the former Bayern coach would absolutely ‘love’ to manage FC Barcelona. This news coupled with pre-existing reports makes this an even bigger update that only adds fuel to an already growing fire connecting Germany to Barcelona.

However, Romano does state that this is only a confirmation of the personal desires of Flick. When it comes to Barcelona themselves, there is still no guarantee which coach they want to ultimately pursue and make a part of their future. Xavi already leaves behind a great foundation, and with Flick’s experience and winning performances, it could be a good mixture.
