Although they did not make any changes to their squad in the last winter transfer window, there are several areas of this FC Barcelona team that the Catalan club is looking to reinforce in the coming months.
One of these areas that requires the attention of the Blaugranes is that of the center-forward position, where Robert Lewandowski is performing at a very high level, but whose 36 years of age is a concern.
For this purpose, Barcelona have been keeping their eyes on several players, including the likes of Viktor Gyökeres and Jonathan David. Now, another striker has entered the Catalans’ list, as Fichajes reports that the Blaugranes have set their eyes on Julian Hall, who is currently playing in Major League Soccer.

The youngster is barely 16 years of age, but is already playing at a highly impressive level, and has stood out in the USA with Red Bull New York, particularly with his speed, goalscoring ability, and maturity on the field.
These qualities have convinced the Blaugranes, and they are actually ready to make a strategic investment in Hall to ensure they remain ahead of the potential competition for this player. The American gem is currently valued at €500,000 but the report claims that Barcelona are willing to offer €10 million for him.
Even if the Catalans are able to land him, they are not looking to get him immediately into the first team, but to prepare him for European football in a gradual manner by making him a part of the Barcelona Atlètic, allowing him the time to adapt to the demands of the top level football in Europe and Spain.
Another option they will consider would be to loan him out to a second-division club, where he will get minutes and thus adapt well to Spanish football.
Thus, the Blaugranes have another interesting option on their hands to bring a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski, and it remains to be seen who will actually ultimately take up the reins at Barcelona.
