Among the four loanees that FC Barcelona currently have playing elsewhere in Europe, the Blaugrana fans will be most keenly following the performances of the striker Vitor Roque.

After arriving at the Catalan club with very high hopes one year ago, the Brazilian was unable to make a place for himself in the Blaugrana team during the six months he got to play under Xavi.

Following these unfruitful six months, he left to join the La Liga side Real Betis on loan last summer, and this loan move has been proving to be rather beneficial as he has established himself as an important player in Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

Only last night, he scored a goal against Barcelona, his side’s lone goal in the 5-1 drubbing they faced in the Copa del Rey Round of 16 tie.

However, this loss has not really impacted the striker’s standing in the market, where he enjoys a lot of interest. There have been several teams linked with him in the recent past, and according to Fichajes, a Premier League side, Everton, is also closely following him with the intention of signing him next summer.

This season, the Brazilian has scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists in 26 appearances across all competitions. He has impressed in particular with his speed, ability to come out on top in 1-on-1 situations, and finishing.

Thus, Everton are willing to make a significant investment for his signing. However, getting him in their team will not really be easy.

One of the factors that will make a potential move complicated is his contractual situation, as he is owned by Barcelona, but is currently in his first year of a two-year loan to Real Betis.

Furthermore, the Verdiblancos also have the option to sign him permanently. Thus, if they really want to sign him, Everton will have to negotiate with all the involved sides.
