Portuguese Newspaper “O Jogo” reported that Sporting CP is currently analyzing the feasibility of a permanent transfer of Francisco Trincão.
Fc Barcelona forward Francisco Trincão looks set to again be on the move this summer after spending the season on loan at Wolves. Portuguese winger joined the Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers on a loan deal from the Catalan giants last summer. He Just managed to score twice in his 28 appearances for the English Club.
Wolves do have an option to make the deal permanent but it’s not likely to happen as the English side does not seem to be impressed at all by the winger’s performance. Another possibility was to swap the player with Adama Traoré, who is on loan at Barcelona from Wolves but it’s not going to happen as Adama is not in Xavi’s plan and is set to return to Wolves after June 30th.
Francisco Trincão has still three years left on his contract with Barcelona but his future is up in the air as he is not in the coach’s long-term plan.
As per the Portuguese Newspaper “O Jogo” Trincão is pushing for a move back to his home country’s club Sporting CP where he can join Ruben Amorim, his former manager at Braga. As per previous reports, Sporting CP made initial contacts with Barcelona regarding a loan deal for Trincão but Barca rejected the offer as the Catalan Club wanted to offload the player permanently.
Now the reports from Portugal claim that Sporting CP are currently analyzing the feasibility of signing Francisco Trincão on a permanent deal. The Portuguese club is expected to offer around €15M in terms of transfer fees.
Barcelona doesn’t seem to be satisfied with the €15M offer as they have paid around €30M to Braga to sign the winger but their financial conditions and the urgent need for cash in order to balance the books and comply with financial fair play rules could force them to accept the offer of Sporting CP.
