Super agent will arrive in Barcelona today to discuss the future of three La Masia prodigies

Ansu Fati continues to be one of the hot topics of the summer. From once being hailed as the successor to Lionel Messi, he is gradually beginning to lose prestige in the eyes of the Barcelona faithful.

Following a rocky season marred with fluctuations in form, Fati may well be finding himself hitting the exit door. Reduction in play time along with a demotion in the pecking order has seen the youngster suffer a falling out.

The Blaugranas’ inclination to acquire a direct left-wing profile paired with the imminent arrival of Abde further weakens Fati’s case of continuing in Catalonia. Given his tendencies to invert as well as take up secondary striker positions, stylistic conflicts can also be seen.

However, the agent of the highly touted player, Jorge Mendes, has no shortage of connections in the world of football. Also representing jewels, Alejandro Balde and Lamine Yamal, he is undeniably a familiar face in the Barcelona headquarters.

According to several sources, Balde’s contract renewal proceeds to be a priority for the club, who is currently considered untouchable in the transfer market. Furthermore, Yamal is another talent set to sign a renewal.

Keeping Mendes’ deep ties with the club in mind, Helena Condis claims the super agent is set to arrive in Barcelona today, where he will discuss Fati’s future prospects, while also negotiating the renewals of the aforementioned prospects.

The report argues that Fati is keen on staying at his boyhood club, but Mendes believes his future remains elsewhere at a “good club.” Agitation from the 20-year-old’s agent and a leaning from Barca to dispose off the player imply a move is certainly in the offing.

Jorge Mendes is no stranger to the Barcelona board and will thus be yearning to fetch the best possible price while securing a top destination for his client. His most recent success could be argued was obtaining 40M for Semedo, who joined Wolves from the Catalan giants a few seasons ago.
