FC Barcelona continue to work towards sorting out some arrivals before the next season kicks off. At the moment, almost everything seems to be in shambles and full of disoriented pieces. However, there are at least some positives that Barcelona can look forward to next season.
A key positive is the number of talented players that they are currently scouting and pursuing. One of them just so happens to be Lucas Bergvall, one of Swedish football’s most promising and talented wonderkids. In fact, even journalists like Fabrizio Romano have previously confirmed how close Barcelona are to signing him.
Now, however, it seems that the signing is only a matter of time rather than simply being a possibility. As highlighted by Toni Juanmarti of SPORT and other sources, the talented 17-year-old has already landed in Barcelona and is in the city as he continues to explore and meet up with important personnel from the club.
He has arrived in the Catalan city with his family and even had dinner with Barcelona Director Deco, who undoubtedly was there to advance the deal to the final stages of the operation. Now, as per the report from SPORT, it is stated that the final closure of the deal is only a step away from being completed.
Moreover, Toni Juanmarti has even claimed that Barcelona hope to close the signing of Bergvall this very afternoon. His arrival in the city is a massive update, and it signals how the recent reports suggesting that his signing is imminent were all true after all.
A talented midfielder, Bergvall possesses both technical qualities and physical attributes to define his game. Currently a player for Swedish side Djurgardens, he is expected to arrive in the summer of 2024 once the deal is completed. Until then, he will remain with his current team and continue to help them before ultimately joining Barcelona.
His arrival would mark a promising start to the next season for Barcelona, who also expect Ibrahim Diarra to join the Catalans during that campaign. However, there still remains the worry of finding Xavi’s successor at the club, as there is a lot of uncertainty on that front.
