Teenage Barcelona target draws comparisons with legendary Brazilian

Barcelona target Vitor Roque

FC Barcelona are looking to reinforce their attack going into the next season, and are looking for a striker who can be Lewandowski’s substitute when needed in particular. The Brazilian Vitor Roque is one of their primary candidates for this role, and the player has continued his impressive form in Brazil.

Vitor Roque has exploded on the football scene in the last year, and his form and performances have caught the eyes of football fans and scouts from throughout the world.

He first showed his brilliance in the U-20 South American Championship, as he led his Brazil side to victory. He has continued his goal-scoring form since then, and is one of the most valuable players in his club side, Athletico Paranaense.

The player is currently unstoppable, as he scored another great goal against Gremio. With this latest performance, the number of his public admirers has also increased, as the former Director of Internacional, Gustavo Grossi, went on to praise the youngster with truly big words.

As reported by SPORT, Grossi compared the youngster to the former Barcelona legend, Ronaldo Nazario. Grossi claimed that Roque is the only footballer who can become the new Ronaldo, as he has all the attributes that made Ronaldo Nazario great, i.e., technique, finishing ability, speed, and an exceptional winning character.

With his performances with the various Brazil national sides and with his club Athletico Paranaense, the player seems ready for a move to Europe. FC Barcelona are leading the race for his signature, and previously it was reported that the club would sign the player this summer, who would then join the Catalans either this summer or in winter, depending on the FFP situation of the club.
