FC Barcelona delivered on the excitement that they have been building this season at the Santiago Bernabeu as well. Against eternal rivals Real Madrid, La Blaugrana had yet another huge win to show for their efforts. Away from home, Barcelona secured a massive 4-0 win over their Clasico opponents.

However, such a win never comes by any sort of mere fluke or anything of the sort. Instead, it takes careful and precise planning to pull off the kind of tactical maneuvers that Barcelona executed against Carlo Ancelotti’s men. Ultimately, the same tactics ended up being the difference between the victors and the losers.

One particular tactic that caused Real Madrid a lot of issues was the offside trap that Barcelona plays. Statistically the best of its kind in all of Europe, this particular tactic deployed by Hansi Flick was once again on full display and caught Real Madrid off guard on 12 separate occasions.

As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, this prompted the Barcelona admin on X to post a tweet that has since gone viral and will likely be a source of frustration for fans of Real Madrid:

“Offside, no matter when you read this.”

This particular tweet highlighted just how suffocating Barça’s tactical approach had become for Real Madrid. No matter how much Vinicius Jr or Kylian Mbappe tried, they almost always found themselves in an offside position and unable to do anything.

Ultimately, while they continued to struggle when it came to breaking Barça’s well-drilled defensive setup, La Blaugrana were far more efficient and effective when they decided to attack and push forward. Thanks to that, Barcelona ended up scoring four times against Real Madrid in the second half while Los Blancos remained goalless for the entirety of the 90 minutes and more. Moreover, with this recent win, Barcelona are now also six points clear at the top of the La Liga table.
