Every player at FC Barcelona is expected to play their part whenever they are called upon. Whether it is the experienced veterans or the youngsters trying to make a name for themselves, every player has their part to play. However, most opportunities at Barcelona favor the players who stand out the most.

Such is the way of meritocracy and that is why the Catalan giants are playing as well as they are this season. However, as confidence grows and a player begins to believe they can do even more, there is a certain positivity in the competitiveness that develops within them.

As a result of this, certain players can end up getting frustrated when they are taken off the field to be substituted. Believing they still had more to offer, it is an understandable frustration and even more so if it comes from a young player who is still raw with their emotions.

Such was the case for both 17-year-old Lamine Yamal and Polish ace Robert Lewandowski, who did not look too happy with Hansi Flick for taking them off in the last game.

However, as Mundo Deportivo has highlighted, Flick remains unbothered and believes it was nothing significant as he spoke about it in his recent press conference:

There was a need to make those changes, and it’s a decision they have to accept, and they do accept it. Their attitude is very positive, and tomorrow they will demonstrate that once again.

With the next challenge for Barcelona coming up against Deportivo Alaves in La Liga, Flick needs his side united and focused. Points have already been dropped against Osasuna in a frustrating defeat and had it not been for the favorable result in the Madrid derby, Barcelona may have been in a much tighter spot right now.

That is why, ahead of the game, it is expected that Hansi Flick will likely field a strong lineup in the team’s final game before the international break. Moreover, both Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski will also be expected to play their part, and their attitude remains as positive as ever despite some understandable frustrations.
