In the last few years, FC Barcelona have been able to promote a lot of talent from the quarry to the first team. This has been especially the case this season, as several players have jumped from the youth levels to the first team, and are playing at a very high level at very young ages.

The Catalans have been particularly fortunate in this regard, as these players have compensated somewhat for the lack of the club’s ability to get their desired players from the market because of their financial difficulties.

The Blaugranes are very satisfied with the progression that some of their young players have displayed in the last few months and are already looking to ensure their long-term continuity with the club.

In this regard, SPORT reports that Barcelona have already offered a renewal to three of their players, Pau Cubarsi, Hector Fort, and Marc Guiu.

Cubarsi’s current contract ends in 2026, while Fort and Guiu have their contracts ending in 2025, and the negotiations for the renewals of all these players are progressing at different paces.

For instance, Pau Cubarsi has made a massive leap in the last few months, and the club is already counting on him to be a defensive mainstay in their team for years to come.

But these performances have also generated the interest of other clubs, like Manchester City, and although he is the top priority for the Catalan, his renewal will be the most difficult out of these three.

The first contact between the player and the club for this renewal has been calm, but a significant period of time might be needed before an agreement is reached.

There is more ambiguity about how negotiations with Fort will proceed, as Barcelona’s planning regarding the player at a sporting level is yet to be disclosed.

However, his performances on both flanks mean that he has a very good chance of getting into the first-team squad for the next season.

Lastly, the case of Marc Guiu is perhaps the easiest for Barcelona, particularly because there is not a lot of distance between the expectations of the club and the player.

Guiu has also developed a lot in the last few months, but the player understands that a lot of patience will be needed if he is to succeed as a striker at Barcelona, and is willing to make the required sacrifices for this purpose.
