After having drawn their last match against Granada, FC Barcelona are now preparing for their upcoming La Liga tie against Celta de Vigo.
This will be a crucial match for the Catalan club, as they are only three points ahead of Atletico de Madrid, and losing more points can threaten Barcelona of losing out on UCL positions on the table.
Xavi thus trained with all the available players for this match but Oriol Romeu and Sergi Roberto were not able to train in this training session as they continued with their recovery processes. However, they are still very likely to be available for the upcoming league clash.
Several youth team players also joined the first team players, including the ones that have frequently been called up by Xavi, including Pau Cubarsi, Hector Fort, Marc Guiu, Marc Casado, Diego Kochen, and Pau Victor.
However, in addition to these usual suspects, there were three more youngsters training with the first team in this session, as SPORT has reported. These included Mika Faye, Mamadou Mbacke, and Sergi Dominguez.
Mika Faye needs no introductions, as he is one of the most celebrated defenders in the Barcelona Atletic team, and has been impressive ever since the Catalans bought him from Croatia last summer.
Mbacke has been making up the center of the defense for Barcelona Atlètic with Faye since Cubarsi has now been a regular feature for the first team. Like Faye, the 21-year-old Mbacke also hails from Senegal.
Sergi Dominguez is yet another centre-back, who also shares some time on the pitch with Faye and Mbacke with Barcelona Atletic. However, the Spaniard gets less time on the pitch than the former two players.
With Inigo Martinez also recovered, it is highly unlikely that Xavi will call up any of these youngsters for the match itself. However, this opportunity to train with the first team would still be good for these youngsters, as they will see and interact with some of the best players in the world.
