FC Barcelona are no strangers to seeing their players do well in terms of individual and collective awards every season or the other. As such, it comes as no surprise that following a rather decent month from the Catalan giants, a few of their players are worth talking about.

As they do so every month, WhoScored have released their La Liga EA Sports Team of the Month for September and it sees FC Barcelona chime in with the most number of representatives from a single club.

The names in question are those of French defender Jules Kounde, Portuguese fullback Joao Cancelo, and Golden Boy winner Gavi.

Gavi (7.37)

With a rating of 7.37, Gavi is within the four-man midfield constructed within this Team of the Month. The 19-year-old midfielder has been crucial to Barcelona this season and has particularly enchanted fans with his quality ever since both Pedri and Frenkie De Jong have been out injured for La Blaugrana.

While the youngster has remained consistent throughout, some standout performances of his include the outings against Sevilla, Celta Vigo, and Royal Antwerp to just name a few.

Jules Kounde (7.32)

One of the two Barcelona defenders to feature on this team, Jules Kounde has been an absolutely crucial part of Xavi’s plans this season. Shifted back to his preferred position as a central defender, the Frenchman has been both solid as a defender and key to Barca’s progressive play.

Scoring a goal against CA Osasuna as well as being a great asset to Barcelona in almost every game played in September, the 24-year-old has already become a mainstay within this current Barca setup.

Joao Cancelo (7.77)

The Portuguese fullback has been properly incorporated within the Barcelona team this month by Xavi. Arriving on the deadline day of the summer transfer window, the 29-year-old has arguably been the best Barcelona player considering the entirety of September.

With two goals and one assist already to his name, the Portuguese star was also fundamental in a lot of creative moments from Barca as well as being a massive contributor to them from a defensive perspective. This is already a loan deal that Barcelona will be rubbing their hands at to make permanent.

The rest

Apart from the Barcelona stars present, there are eight of La Liga’s other finest this month also included. Those names include the likes of Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Joselu (Real Madrid), Lucas Boye (Granada), Takefusa Kubo (Real Sociedad), Savio (Girona), Loic Bade (Sevilla), Sergi Cardona (UD Las Palmas), and Alvaro Valles (UD Las Palmas).
