Every pre-season, clubs like FC Barcelona consider every positive and negative they can take away from games as something worth assessing and evaluating before the beginning of the official campaign ahead.
The game against Arsenal left a bitter taste in the mouth of Barcelona as a whole. Despite being their first game of the pre-season, a 5-3 defeat can be taxing to endure regardless of the circumstances.
However, that is not to say that there were no positives to take away from the game in Los Angeles either against the Gunners. From among those positives, there was one in particular that sparked many applauses from the crowd.
As has been highlighted by Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona got to witness a supreme level of understanding between Spanish youngsters Ansu Fati and Alejandro Balde during the encounter against Arsenal that could be a massive asset heading into the new season.
Upon their introduction in the second half of the game, both youngsters combined well together to deliver the spark to a rather lethargic Blaugrana side. Their combinations at times were so evidently mesmerizing, they drew applause from the fans sitting in the SoFi stadium.
Balde, in particular, was the star of the night for FC Barcelona. His darting runs and blitzing speed were too much to handle for Arsenal at times and he managed to showcase exactly why Barca fans are so excited about his future potential with the club.
If Barcelona are able to manage these two young talents properly, they have two of the most promising youngsters in European football at their disposal and ones that can easily become invaluable assets to this revolution being led by Xavi Hernandez.
