This current FC Barcelona team has been running rampant under the leadership of Hansi Flick so far. The German coach seems to have unlocked their true potential and they are now efficiently taking care of any and every opponent that comes their way. In many ways, this Barcelona team as a whole is doing something out of the ordinary.
However, certain things that are not in the coach’s control have to be addressed as well from time to time, and such things can involve injuries and suspensions that are not in the original planning. For Barcelona, such issues have been persistent in the past and have cost them in crucial moments.
Now, ahead of an important and difficult encounter against Real Sociedad in Barça’s upcoming game in La Liga, there have been some issues that were possibly not accounted for previously. It just so happens that in the latest training session ahead of the game against La Real, two key Barcelona players have missed the session.
As pointed out by Victor Navarro, both Dani Olmo and Lamine Yamal were not present with the group as they conducted their training session without the two Spaniards being on the pitch this time around. However, the reasonings for both players are different as per his update.
In the case of Yamal, the young Barcelona winger was training by himself in the gym and it could be possibly due to accumulated fatigue that the player was allowed to do that. Olmo, on the other hand, had to miss the training session due to ‘general malaise’ as the player appears to be ill or sick at the moment.
Their inclusion in the squad for the upcoming game that will see Barcelona travel away to Real Sociedad is thus not guaranteed at the moment. It remains to be seen how their respective situations progress and only then can a final verdict be given on how likely it is for them to feature against La Real in a La Liga clash that is expected to be difficult for both sides.
