It is hardly a good time for FC Barcelona to be hearing even more bad news. Unfortunately, that has been the reality for the Catalan club in recent years and it continues to be the trend as well. However, for much of this season, Barcelona have arguably been their own worst enemy.

When faced with challenges that everyone expected them to collapse in front of, La Blaugrana prevailed with flying colors. Such was their strength and quality on the biggest of stages against the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich across various competitions.

However, in games where they needed to get a result and were expected to, the Catalan giants have stumbled and it has been disheartening to say the least. Most recently, the team collapsed against Celta Vigo despite being 2-0 up initially against their La Liga opponents.

Fortunately for Barcelona, there is definitely some good news to address before they take on their next opponents in the UEFA Champions League. As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, two new faces have returned to group training after their respective recoveries.

Both Ronald Araujo and Ferran Torres have recently made their return to partial group training, and it is a great update for Hansi Flick’s team. After having recovered from their respective ailments, both players are now gradually working their way towards a full return.

The Uruguayan defender will likely need some more time before he can make a complete return, but Ferran Torres could end up coming back sooner. Moreover, even Eric Garcia made a full return to group training and is expected to be available for the game against Brest in the Champions League.

Torres may need a game or two before he can make his return, whereas Araujo’s arrival for Hansi Flick will likely happen some time during December. Given the current injury crisis that Flick is dealing with, particularly in attack, the return of both Ferran Torres and Ronald Araujo would be a welcome development.
