It has been a few days since the start of January, but FC Barcelona have still not been able to solve the issue of registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor with La Liga.
As things stand, both La Liga and RFEF have denied the Catalans’ request to register these players, and from Tuesday, the Blaugranes are planning to approach the CSD with the hopes of getting a precautionary ruling for the registration of these two players.
Meanwhile, Barcelona remains quite confident that these players will be registered in the coming few days, and according to SPORT, these two players will travel with the rest of the team for their Spanish Super Cup campaign in Saudi Arabia.
The Catalans understand that this situation needs to be solved as soon as possible, and are confident that the duo will be able to play in this competition, at least in the final if they qualify for it.
In the last few days, uncertainty about these two players’ situation has led to increased discomfort in the squad and in the two affected players. Ronald Araújo has already expressed his concerns and asked the club to get this problem solved as soon as possible.
Despite this situation, the entourage of these two players is not yet considering playing for any other club. However, they are clear that the option of them playing at another side for the next six months cannot be ruled out if their registration is not guaranteed in the coming few weeks.
Such a move will be undertaken through a process in which the players terminate their contracts with Barcelona and then return after six months. There is no doubt that this is an undesirable and extreme option that neither the club nor the players want to explore at this point in time.
