FC Barcelona are going to face another difficult test in La Liga today as they travel to Pamplona to take on Osasuna, a team that is still undefeated at its home ground, El Sadar.

The Osasuna head coach, Vicente Moreno, has done a rather good job with his team this season, as they currently stand 7th on the league table with 11 points. They are currently only three points away from a Champions League spot.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, the Spanish trainer spoke to the press ahead of his side’s game against Barcelona. He acknowledged the threat that the Catalans would pose as he described the upcoming match as one between: “A very strong team at home against the best team in La Liga.”

Moreno also understood that to have any chance against this Barcelona side, his team will have to play a perfect game: “To have a chance to win, we need to play an almost perfect game. We’re going to need our fans, and every single club employee, and even then, it will be tough. We have to hold on to our chances.”

The Osasuna coach also seemingly understood how he had to approach this game: “We are clear on where they can hurt you, and we’re going to try to minimize those opportunities. You need to be on point and hope they don’t have their best day. You can’t focus everything on just one player.

However, Vicente Moreno also made it clear that he was not looking to make any significant changes in his team for this game:

We’re not going to try any drastic changes, at least not in our initial game plan. It would be naive not to be aware of where the game might go. We can dream of playing all 90 minutes in Barcelona’s box, but that’s not realistic. Our feet are on the ground, but we want to be important.

With the form they have shown up to now in the season, there is no doubt that Barcelona are the favorites going into this game. But Osasuna would not be a cakewalk either, and neutrals can rest assured that this is going to be a highly entertaining game.
