Since the start of this season, this FC Barcelona team has been playing one of the most entertaining brands of football in Europe. The team has been scoring a lot of goals, and its defensive strategy, which puts a lot of emphasis on the offside trap, is also very entertaining for the spectators.
But beyond their performances on the pitch, the Blaugrana club’s fans are also relishing the good chemistry and unity that prevails in the Barcelona dressing room.
These fans have gotten several glimpses of the players’ lives at the Catalan club in the last few weeks, particularly from some of the interviews given by Pedri and Pau Victor.
Now, as Mundo Deportivo has reported, Barcelona themselves took to their social media to provide these fans with some more insights about the players’ lives in the dressing room, as they published a video in which the players reveal their dressing room nicknames.
Gavi revealed that he himself does not have any nickname, but went on to say that Fermin Lopez is called “Cabezón” or “Trujillo”, after the characters from the series La que se avecina.
Similarly, Pedri commented that he does not have a nickname in general, but one of his teammates, Jules Kounde, calls him “Platanito”.
Szczesny, whose name is one of the most difficult to pronounce in the Barcelona squad, is called “Tek”. Similarly, Robert Lewandowski revealed that he is called “Robbie or Lewy”.
Some other players had rather easy-to-understand nicknames. Pau Cubarsi is simply referred to as “Pau” or “Cuba”. Raphinha is addressed as “Rapha”, while Casado is called “Casa”. Fermin revealed that he is called “Fer” or “Trujillo”.
Alejandro Balde is simply called “Balde”, while other players like Inigo Martinez, Gavi, Ansu Fati, and Frenkie de Jong do not have any nicknames and their teammates usually call them by their actual names.
