Xavi gives ‘green light’ for the return of 21-year-old Barcelona loanee

Barcelona are well aware of the fact that they do not currently possess the ability nor the resources to bring in a multitude of world-class talent that has already been well-established within the realms of European football.

As a result, the Catalan club has to resort to other low-cost alternatives, that would also include the likes of young talents from the subsidiary and utilizing them to the best of their abilities.

According to the most recent update by SPORT, Xavi Hernandez has given the green light to the idea of Moroccan winger Abde Ezzalzouli returning to Barcelona following the end of his loan spell at CA Osasuna.

The Spanish coach believes that the 21-year-old winger has developed during his time with Osasuna and has developed into a more experienced and well-equipped footballer and could be a useful asset to possess in a team where offensive departures are expected over the summer transfer window.

However, the arrival of one will inevitably result in consequences for another. The potential transfer of Yannick Carrasco thus takes a turn for the worse as per the report, as Barcelona considers his transfer surplus to requirements should Ez Abde make a return.

Yet, despite the approvals of Xavi Hernandez, the personal objectives of Ez Abde may slightly differ. The Moroccan winger believes that if he were to return to Barcelona and not be given an important role for the upcoming season, it acts as a hindrance to his development.

Thus, the 21-year-old believes that a move to fellow La Liga side Real Betis better suits his interests regarding his development moreso than a year as an unimportant piece in Xavi Hernandez’s side, but it is understood that La Blaugrana would only be willing to let him leave on a loan move and not a permanent transfer as they see him as a viable talent for the future of their own club.
