Now, as per the normal schedule, Barcelona conducted their recovery session following the game. Several names from the youth team were present, including Diego Kochen, Marc Guiu, Pau Cubarsi, and the usual inclusions, but one new name stood out.
As highlighted by SPORT, young midfield talent Brian Farinas was the latest name to join the Barcelona cause. One of the youth rank’s great revelations of this season, his inclusion in the latest recovery session is only his fifth appearance in a first-team training session.
Primarily a player for Oscar Lopez’s Juvenil A side, Farinas is a special talent in his own right. It is not a coincidence that Xavi Hernandez seems to have taken notice of him, and just as he has done with others before him, the Barcelona coach continues to give promising talents the opportunities that they need.
Aged 18, the midfielder is a player who possesses a plethora of dangerous utility. While he has thus far not debuted with the first team, his weapons are of good enough quality that his first appearance may not be too far away after all.
SPORT describes the youngster as a midfielder who is very balanced in all aspects. He is strong both in a physical sense but also in his technical reading and ability on the ball. Powerful in his commitments, he also possesses a strong shot from distance.
Moreover, he also seems to possess commendable versatility. Able to play both as a winger and as an interior, Farinas is capable of showcasing his various talents according to the situation that he is put in no matter where it is.
