Top European clubs such as FC Barcelona have always had the privilege of possessing quality depth within their ranks to offer up a uniquely dependable pool of players to call upon.

In recent times, despite their obvious economic hurdles, Barcelona have managed to put together a highly competitive and versatile side.

However, depth is not always an easy headache to deal with for head coaches given that various players often end up debating and colliding over certain positions that are up for grabs within the starting eleven.

According to Spanish outlet SPORT, Barcelona have been spared from the need to consider how to balance their team, given that they face Real Betis and Royal Antwerp both within three days, a recipe that definitely invites necessary rotations.

Players that have previously played for clubs such as Bayern or Manchester City often find the transition to Spain not that hard but see themselves needing to step up their game on the ball as well as they need.

Robert Lewandowski, Frenkie De Jong, Jules Kounde, and Ter Stegen have been the most used players under Xavi Hernandez this season and it appears that the coach will look to count on even more players and has an intent to slow down with his pursuits of multiple rotations.

The tests against Real Betis and Royal Antwerp will both be significant for Barcelona due to different reasons. One is a La Liga clash against one of the Spanish division’s strongest opponents while the other is Barca’s opening game of the 2023/24 UCL campaign, a tournament that has eluded FC Barcelona for quite some time now.
