At the moment, there remains a lot of disruption and chaos within Barcelona. The club has no idea at the moment about their future looks like, especially with Xavi’s recent statement. With the Barcelona coach expected to leave in the summer, there is a lot of worry within the club.

Moreover, even the players have not been doing much to dampen the sorrows. In fact, it is because of their inconsistencies and, at times, inability to deliver that has possibly caused Xavi a lot of frustration. One player in particular who has been quite disappointing in recent games is Inaki Pena, and his performances have been quite worrying.

Fortunately for Barcelona, they will not have to wait too long before they can finally count on their main shot-stopper again. As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, Xavi has himself given a return date for the currently recovering Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.

“If everything goes well, Ter Stegen will be back against Granada.”

This would mean that against Granada on the 11th of February in the Montjuic Stadium, the German goalkeeper should be back in action. However, it would also mean that he still has to miss both Matchday 20 and 23 against Osasuna and Alaves.

To clarify confusion regarding Matchday 20, it is only for the teams that went away to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup. This includes both Barcelona and Osasuna, who will be competing in their next clash against one another at the Montjuic Stadium.

However, Ter Stegen continues to train and recover as he aims for a swift recovery. On the other hand, despite Pena being Barça’s first choice at the moment, he has reportedly lost all the faith in him and is not expected to continue beyond this season at the moment.
