FC Barcelona are approaching their next clash in La Liga, and this time they take on 17th-placed Celta Vigo. Away from home, the Catalan giants definitely need to bring their best levels into this game. However, unfortunately for Barcelona, their form this season does not exactly scream confidence.

The Blaugranes continue to leak goals, and their defensive vulnerabilities and errors are always a blessing to the opponents. However, Xavi wants to change this, and he wants to bring back the defensive solidity of this same Barça team that won La Liga last season.

To do this, the Barcelona coach needs a proper plan and have it executed to perfection. For now, his belief is that certain personnel changes within the starting lineup could truly end up being beneficial for the team.

Accordingly, as highlighted by SPORT, Xavi already has three names in mind he wants to make use of to help FC Barcelona regain their defensive rigidity.

The first name on the list is that of Andreas Christensen. Hailing from Denmark, the former Chelsea man offers Barcelona a lot of stability as a defender. However, Xavi expects him to slot right in as a midfield pivot and help the team out by recovering balls and then allowing the team to launch proper offensive plays.

Moreover, Ronald Araujo is another name that Xavi sorely missed. He was rested for the last game against Granada, but he should be ready to start for FC Barcelona from now against Celta Vigo when the time comes.

Lastly, Xavi believes deploying Inigo Martinez alongside these players will help shape the defense even better. His ball-playing abilities coupled with his defensive and leadership qualities make him a top-level defender, and one with far more experience than young Pau Cubarsi.
