FC Barcelona have been keeping an eye on a number of rising South American footballers with high potential. Recently, another player from Brazil who has caught the attention of the club by his performances is the striker Kaua Elias.

Kaua Elias, who currently plays for the Brazilian club Fluminense, has shown great quality and talent in the recent few matches. However, it has been the South American U-17 Cup tournament which has catapulted Elias to fame and attracted the attention of football powerhouses.

Elias has been a key part of the Brazilian Under-17 team in this tournament. He has already scored 5 goals in the tournament, which makes him the top goal-scorer. Furthermore, these goals have also been key for Brazil in their quest to advance to the later stages of the tournament, as well as to the U-17 World Cup, to which the Brazil side has already qualified.

Elias stood out in the match against Ecuador yesterday, as he scored a great header from a corner to equalize the score at 2-2. In addition to this goal, the player also showed his impressive passing ability and range throughout his time on the pitch.

However, more testing matches now await for the talented striker, as the South American U-17 title reaches its conclusive phase. Brazil, Argentina, and Ecuador are all tied at 7 points, and there is a decisive game next Thursday between Argentina and Ecuador. However, Elias will be hoping to showcase his talent in the last game of the round, which is a Super-Classico between Argentina and Brazil.

While this last match would be a great opportunity for Elias to further cement his reputation as a highly talented striker, the player has already made a name for himself through his performances in the tournament. FC Barcelona would have to ensure that they remain attentive to the player’s situation and bring him to the club before his valuation skyrockets and other clubs become involved.
