Barcelona considering playing Juventus in a potential friendly in December

Following reports suggesting that English club and current Premier League leaders Arsenal were being assessed as an opponent for Barcelona’s planned friendlies in December, it has surfaced that the Blaugrana may also be looking at the possibilities of being able to play Italian club Juventus in the same month as well.

According to a report by Sport, Barcelona intend to play the Bianconeri on the 22nd of December at the Allianz Stadium as a part of their plans to consistently keep the squad, mainly players not called up for the World Cup and those that return earlier than others, proactive and engaged in constant competition as to not lose momentum upon returning back to official matches for the remainder of the season.

Moreover, it is also being reported that the Old Lady are currently in talks with Arsenal themselves to organize a friendly for themselves against the English side. This in turn would create a triad of friendly opponents, something Barcelona fans should look forward to.

Another key detail that one would keep an eye out for is that all three teams in question here are potential future opponents for one another in the UEFA Europa League this season, and these games could possibly give fans and managerial staff a taste of what’s to come and how to potentially improve their preparations for further encounters.
