In the upcoming summer transfer window, one of the issues that FC Barcelona will have to deal with is the young striker, Vitor Roque. The Brazilian arrived at the Catalan club in the last winter window but was unable to get a prominent position in the squad under Xavi.
With Hansi Flick’s appointment, he has another opportunity to gain the coach’s trust and become more involved in the team. However, he will also have to be registered anew with La Liga this summer, as he was only registered because of Gavi’s long-term injury.
The Catalan club’s sporting management and the coach, Hansi Flick, are counting on the Brazilian to be the team’s second center-forward and deputize for Robert Lewandowski, who scored 26 goals and gave 9 assists last season but is already 35 years old.
Still, his presence in the Barcelona squad is not guaranteed, mainly because of his registration issue, and if the Catalans are unable to register him, they will send him out on a loan. The player is also open to such a possibility now.
However, if the Blaugranes decide to get rid of the player for sporting reasons, either temporarily with a loan or permanently with a full transfer, SPORT reports that the demand for the young striker is rising in the market.
In recent weeks, there have been reports of interest from Atletico Madrid and Porto in the striker, with Barcelona looking open to sending him out on loan. Now, another side from Italy has entered the race for the youngster, as Napoli are preparing for an offensive that will allow them to take Roque’s full rights as long as Barcelona do not oppose such a setup.
Although he has not had a very bright start to life in Europe with Barcelona, the market still understands that Roque possesses some skills that can turn him into one of the best strikers in the future, and thus, his demand is already on the rise.
