Barcelona keeping tabs on Dortmund prodigy, player also wants Camp Nou move – report

Amongst the emerging starlets of Europe, Youssoufa Moukoko is a name that shines bright. The 18-year-old German forward has announced himself to the realms of European elites through his stunning performances for Borussia Dortmund.

With 6 goals and 3 assists in the Bundesliga thus far, it is no surprise that many of the top European clubs are monitoring the player’s progress and availability. Among them is FC Barcelona. The Catalans have had eyes on the youngster for quite a while, and as Sport reports, the Blaugrana are aware that the player wants to join the club as well.

With his contract ending in the summer of 2023, Moukoko is yet to extend his current deal with Dortmund and while that possibility exists, Barcelona have the chance to scoop this prodigious talent for free should they manage to come to an agreement with the player.

An alternative to their earlier target Endrick, who is likely to be swayed by Real Madrid at this point in time, Moukoko is reportedly being inspected by Barcelona with an aim to sign him in the summer, but the board is not yet entirely in unison and decided over whether to pursue him yet or not.

As it stands, the race for Moukoko’s signature will be tough and long, as Dortmund will be keen on holding onto their prodigy, while many of Europe’s other top teams will consistently be locking horns for the player, not just Barcelona and their own aspirations.
