Diogo Dalot has been on Barcelona’s transfer target list for quite some time now and it seems Barcelona could get a breakthrough in signing the Portuguese right back.
Eric Ten Haag has his eyes set on Denzel Dumfries and is pushing the English club to sign the Dutch defender as per recent reports from Sport. This rings bad news for Diogo Dalot who has been negotiating a contract renewal with Manchester United and thus the 23-year-old could seek a summer exit from Manchester United as a free agent.
Dumfries could arrive at United for around 55 million euros and Ten Haag sees him as a key part of his project, something that would push Dalot out of the starting eleven.
The young Portuguese has set talks with Red Devils over a contract renewal and his role in the team as he only views himself as a starter and would thus not accept to pave the way to the targeted Dumfries.
Dumfries’ arrival could be good news to Barcelona who have their eyes set on Dalot and are only waiting to see how the saga surrounding the Portuguese international unfolds.
