It is with great eagerness and patience simultaneously that Barcelona awaits their next game. The win over Mallorca was needed and was positive, but a great duel now awaits Xavi’s team. On Tuesday, Barcelona will finally welcome Napoli to the Montjuic Stadium.

In more ways than one, the clash itself will dictate the final scope of Barça’s season. The UEFA Champions League is the only chance at silverware that is still all in the hands of Barcelona themselves, and they can not afford to bow out already.

Ahead of the grand clash against the side from Naples, Barcelona conducted their regular recovery session. While a certain Spaniard was still missing, a recent report has some good news. According to Mundo Deportivo, Ferran Torres should be back in time to be available for the Napoli game’s squad list.

Specifically, MD states that the Spanish forward is expected to be back around Sunday or Monday, and could be part of the final training session ahead of the European encounter. His recovery would be great for Xavi’s Barcelona, who are already struggling with multiple injuries.

Having been out for almost a month due to a muscular injury, Torres is gradually closing in on his potential return. The Spaniard had been enjoying a great run of form this season, and his presence in front of goal has proven to be much more lethal than ever before. Thus, recovering him would mean recovering some much needed firepower for Barcelona.

This would also provide additional cover and competition to the likes of Joao Felix, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal. With Ferran Torres waiting for his opportunity or being willing to fight for it, his teammates will need to be on their toes and give their all. On the other side of things, it would also mean additional preparation work for Napoli to do.

Barcelona will simultaneously also look forward to recovering Ronald Araujo. The Uruguayan was suspended for the Mallorca clash, but will once again be available to face Napoli. Moreover, both Raphinha and Lamine Yamal are expected to be fully fit as well, having survived injury scares in the recent clash.
