While FC Barcelona have no shortage of attacking talents available, there exists the possibility of selling some of their assets. One particular forward who may attract substantial interest and a hefty transfer fee is Raphinha.
The Brazilian winger is currently into his first season at FC Barcelona and has had arguably a mixed start to life in the Catalan city. While he has indefinitely hit his reported target of surpassing double digits in both goals and assists, he has had other temperamental issues that have plagued his reputation in FC Barcelona.
On multiple occasions throughout the season, the left-footed winger threw tantrums that caught the attention of the cameras and consequently various media outlets. For instance, the player showed visible frustration following his substitution against Manchester United in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League play-off.
Despite being subbed off after having a plentiful 83 minutes under his belt in that game, kicking and shoving various items as he went back to sit down. After the incident, the player vowed to not let his emotions get the better of him and ensure that he does not repeat such antics.
However, they did happen again. Both in a La Liga game against Getafe as well as aggressive plays during training sessions as per Mundo Deportivo. In the case of the latter, Xavi Hernandez privately brought the player aside and strictly imposed upon him the necessity of keeping his anger and frustrations at bay.
On the other hand, the player chose to resort to angry reactions when subbed off after 87 minutes against Getafe. Barcelona believe that the 26-year-old could still attract a considerable offer for his services, as he reportedly still has a reputable market among Premier League sides courtesy of his time in Leeds United.
It is also a possibility that the player himself chooses to leave in order to ensure he gets the minutes he wants, something that may become even more difficult next season with a fully-fit Ousmane Dembele being available to Xavi as well as the potential arrival of Lionel Messi.
