Dani Alves grateful for Barcelona’s hospitality

Former Barcelona player Dani Alves has showered praises on President Joan Laporta, Rafa Marquez, and the technical staff for giving him a warm reception back at Barcelona.

Dani Alves, who came back to Barcelona for his last stint as a Barca player last year and also went on to train with the subsidiary team for the last few weeks told Catalunya Radio:

“I played for Barcelona last year and I also trained with Barca’s subsidiary for the last few weeks. Everything that is happening to me is also thanks to them.”

“I am grateful to Rafa [Marquez] and all his technical staff for how they received me. Also to the president Joan (Laporta) who opened the doors for me there.”

The Brazilian fullback who left Barcelona at the end of the 2021/2022 season having featured in 408 games in total for the Garnet and the Blue has a soft spot for Barcelona and is grateful to the club for letting him train and use the club facilities to maintain his physical fitness in order to get selected by Brazilian Football Confederation for the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022.
