It seems that certain decisions with Barcelona are not as advanced as people might have thought. The Catalan club continues to work timely and orderly as to ensure a great progression towards the future. However, unfortunately for Barcelona, there is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding the club’s future.

The primary source of unease and uncertainty arrives in the form of the managerial position. The Blaugranes are unaware of what awaits them in light of Xavi Hernandez’s decision to leave in the summer. Thus far, many reports have claimed that certain names are already high-priority targets for Barcelona.

However, according to Barcelona Sporting Director Deco, it is still “still early” to rush to conclusions. As highlighted by Esport3, the Brazilian has already shared his own perspective about the possibility of Xavi staying at the club beyond this ongoing season:

“If something changes, I won’t say that we can’t consider it. We don’t have anything against him. It’s not a decision that the club or the sports management has made. For now, that possibility doesn’t exist. If it happens, we will discuss it.”

As new names continue to pile up and be linked to Barcelona, the director assures that steps are to be taken gradually. He claims that there is no rush within Barcelona at the moment and the board and club office continues to count on Xavi to finish this season on a high note.

However, for Xavi to continue at Barcelona, the coach will need to take a step forward. For Deco, the plans that are currently in motion are not absolute, and Barça may be willing to accept changes to their ideas.

For now, it seems that many important figures within Barcelona continue to rely on Xavi. They continue to either pledge their support to him or at least be open to seeing him lead the team once again next season. The future may be a bit uncertain, but the Barcelona board surely seems to have a plan.
