Ferran’s Resurrection?

A man sure of his capabilities is much more dangerous than the one who doubts himself. Ferran Torres has enjoyed a great run of form in the last 3 matches against great sides such as Real Madrid, Villareal, and Athletic Bilbao. What makes him so special as a player then?

His movements off the ball are great for unsettling defenses. He can drag Defenders out of positions and then beat his marker fluidly and effortlessly, something our frontline needs against compact defending units.

Also, he is great at pressing from the front and also offers a good defensive work rate. But he lacked the most needed component in his play and that was Confidence.

This is mainly accredited to him missing out on pre-season and him facing an injury before the season started. Also, he was missing a lot of shots even after arriving well in the box.

But his recent performances prove why he is such a special player, bagging 2 goals and 1 assist in the last 3 games in which he started only one. He seems a much more confident and assured version of himself. Apart from the output, he has also shown elite movement and work rate, which just makes it easier to know what his caliber is.

This has restored the faith of the Camp Nou faithful, who now want to see more coming from his side, and without a doubt, he is going to be a key player for Barcelona as the project goes forward, and hopefully, he repays the faith Xavi has in him.
