Despite the club’s global significance, it is no secret that FC Barcelona has been poorly managed in recent years. Outrageous contracts coupled with exorbitant transfer fees, La Blaugrana spent atrociously in certain windows. However, the consequences have only recently impacted Barcelona in a significant way.

It has resulted in Barça being able to barely compete in any given transfer window. With lackluster transfer budgets and barely any financial backing to the coach during said transfer windows, Barcelona has had to work with what they have in order to remain competitive.

Fortunately, that is something Xavi Hernandez has ended up being an expert at. As highlighted by SPORT, several new names have received prominence under the tutelage of the current Barcelona coach, and it has helped to improve their stocks in more than one way.

Beyond just being a great way to showcase their talents to the world and cementing their places as guaranteed pearls of the sport, these Barcelona starlets have also managed to consequently see their respective values surge.

By considering the likes of Fermin Lopez, Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsi, Hector Fort, and Marc Guiu, it is clear to see the leap Barça’s youngsters have made this season. Through their various breakout performances and contributions this season, all five of them have seen an ascending reevaluation.

From originally being valued at only €2 million altogether, they are now valued at €130 million. That translates to a direct increase of €128 million in value, and these are still just Barcelona products from their academy and quarry. Even in times of financial dismay, La Masia continues to be a shining beacon for FC Barcelona.

Moving forward, Barcelona intend to keep things this way as well. By providing their most valuable youngsters with adequate release clauses, the Blaugranes hope to retain their services for the years to come and build a new Barcelona around them as well.
