Even in times of desperation and suffering, FC Barcelona almost always find positives. The club is not exactly enjoying its most fruitful season, especially when it comes to silverware. However, at least looking ahead to the future, Barcelona have reason to be hopeful.

This season, in particular, Barça have taken some massive steps when it comes to creating some bridges towards the future. The Blaugranes have introduced new young blood into the team, and these new faces are destined for greatness already it seems.

In fact, it is not just the quality of youngsters either, but also the extraordinary quantity as well. To put it into numbers and showcase just how impressive Barça’s progress in this specific category is, Mundo Deportivo has highlighted the sheer presence of Barça’s gems among La Liga’s youngest stars.

In the list of the top 10 youngest players to feature in La Liga this season, Barcelona take up five slots. The top four are all Barça players, and the ninth position is also occupied by a Barcelona forward. In first place, to nobody’s surprise, is Lamine Yamal who featured first at the age of 16 years and 1 month.

In second place, Pau Cubarsi also makes the list at 16 years and 11 months. The third and fourth places are occupied by Hector Fort and Marc Guiu respectively. The fullback featured first at the age of 17 years and 5 months, while the striker featured at the age of 17 years and 9 months.

Taking the ninth place on the list is the one Barcelona player who has not been developed through the subsidiary. Vitor Roque, at the age of 18 years and 10 months, takes the second last spot on the top 10 list as well. Overall, that makes five great Barça talents in this specific list of promising young gems.

While Xavi may be departing at the end of the season, he leaves behind a great list of talented pearls. These youngsters surely have a great future ahead with the Blaugrana club, and have come to the side’s aid even in this time of financial limitation and vulnerability.
