There is never a shortage of optimism at FC Barcelona even during their worst phases. La Blaugrana continue to believe in themselves and their capabilities, irrespective of the many difficulties they face. With this same optimism, Barcelona still continues to dream about La Liga and making a title challenge a reality.

At the moment, Barça currently sit in second place in La Liga temporarily. With Girona possessing a game in hand in which they play against Rayo Vallecano, the other team from Catalonia could end up finding their place back on the podium as the silver medalists.

However, beyond everything else, Barcelona continue to remain hopeful that they can still put pressure on Real Madrid. According to SPORT, Barça knows that as long as they make the most out of the next five games, they have a real chance to still end up challenging for the Spanish First Division title.

This is because those five games are all that remain between now and their eventual visit to the Santiago Bernabeu. Accordingly, if Barcelona manage to win all five of these outings and secure 15 points, SPORT states that the club is confident about reaching the Bernabeu with Madrid being the team that plays with unnecessary pressure.

These five games include two matches at home and three games that require away trips. The clashes against Athletic Club, Atletico Madrid, and Cadiz will all take place away from home. On the other hand, both the games against Mallorca and Las Palmas will take place at home for Barça.

With Los Blancos not exactly being at their best and struggling at times, Barcelona see a real opportunity for themselves. Given that even Sevilla managed to keep them stunned for a long time, Xavi’s side believes that they can reach the Santiago Bernabeu for El Clasico with their current difference of 8 points with Real Madrid decreased.

Moreover, following their latest 4-0 victory over Getafe, Barcelona are enjoying a good run of form. The Catalan giants believe they can build on that result, and they can gradually find the right kind of momentum to take it to the end of the season.
