Over the last several games this season, many of the key players at FC Barcelona have risen to the occasion. For the Catalan club, it was essential to see their best players perform as they are expected to and the club has not been disappointed so far. At the moment, this Barcelona team continues to thrive and surprise.

Several individuals such as Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, Pedri, and others have found their footing this season and they continue to excel at their best possible level. Hansi Flick’s introduction really seems to have reignited some kind of strength in these players because it is truly paying off.

However, if there is one player who has benefited the most from Hansi Flick’s arrival, it is Raphinha. The Brazilian forward was reliable under Xavi Hernandez as well previously, but he has been truly something out of this world under the orders of his new German head coach. He also managed to provide two crucial assists in the team’s latest victory over Alaves, continuing his fine form as one of the captains of the team this season.

Even for Flick, as highlighted by Fabrizio Romano, the player has been nothing short of ‘unbelievable’ and the Barcelona coach made sure to commend the excellent work that the South American star has been doing so far this season:

“Raphinha’s attitude is excellent! He’s a real leader, he’s unbelievable… He’s important for us in his position. His movement is dynamic, but I think he can improve. When he scores goals, he always wants to score more. I’m very happy with him.”

So far this season, the former Leeds United player has been directly involved in 11 goals for Barcelona. He has scored 6 goals across all competitions and has also provided 5 assists. What makes this even more remarkable is the fact that is already close to matching his numbers from the entirety of last season.

His work-rate, leadership as a captain of the team, and relentless offensive contributions continue to make him an example for his Barcelona teammates. While this is undoubtedly the best version of Raphinha that has been seen at Barça, a lot of the credit must go to Flick even as he sends praise towards the player himself.
