In the last year or so, Lamine Yamal has truly emerged as one of the most disruptive wingers in the world. The Spanish forward is already playing and shining as a regular starter for a team as big as Barcelona.

He has also significantly improved his end product as well this season, as he already has five goals and five assists to his name.

As a result, he has been receiving praise from every quarter, and as Mundo Deportivo has reported, the latest to recognize the Barcelona youngster’s skills and talents is Antonio Rudiger, one of the key players of his biggest rivals.

The Real Madrid defender appeared in an interview with the YouTube channel Inside Scoop in which he had some high praise for the €120m-rated Barcelona starlet:

“Credit must be given for what he’s doing… It’s ridiculous, ridiculous. He has an impressive future ahead. Hopefully, he stays healthy because you should never wish bad on anyone. The player he is for Barça at 17, what he did in the Euros… It’s quite scary, quite scary. He has a brilliant future.”

It is always good to see rivals recognizing the quality and talents of Barcelona players, and Rudiger has not been the first Real Madrid player to admit the quality of Yamal. But the youngster will still be quite happy to hear these words from the German, as he is also one of the top center-backs in the world today.

Both these players are set to face off soon, as the first El Clasico of this season is scheduled to take place at the end of this month. With only a three-point gap for these sides in La Liga, this match can also have implications for the league standings as both these teams are the main contenders for the La Liga title.
