Despite having proven himself to be a highly talented and skilled player since his teenage years, the FC Barcelona midfielder Pedri has not been able to get over his fitness problems, which have taken a very high toll on his career up to now.

After having returned from a serious hamstring injury earlier in the season, the midfielder is out once again with another injury in the hamstring, and is again expected to miss several games due to this issue.

The midfielder has received support from various quarters as injuries continue to plague his career, and the latest person to offer words of sympathy was his international teammate but the captain of the biggest rivals of FC Barcelona, Dani Carvajal.

As SPORT has reported, the Real Madrid fullback wished his compatriot a speedy recovery, and explained how he can fully understand the difficulty from which Pedri is currently going through:

“I hope he hears this: I send him a big hug, he deserves it, he’s a fantastic guy, and he should stay calm, there’s light at the end of the tunnel. I’ve also been in a situation where I would come back and then get injured again, and again…”

Carvajal also had some advice for Pedri on how to get over his fitness problems, and was sure he will be able to help the Spain team a lot in the future:

“He should try to close all the doors, from nutrition, rest, coaching, training methods, biomechanics… He’s very young, he has a long career ahead, he’s going to help us all, and above all, he should stay calm because he will definitely get through this.”

“I’m sure of it because he’s very professional. I send him a big hug, and hopefully, he can be with us in the Euros.”

These words from Carvajal will definitely go well with Pedri, as the Real Madrid captain himself had to get over several injuries in his career. Hopefully, Pedri can also get over his fitness problems like Carvajal has done, and continue to showcase his talent without all these breaks and gaps.
