Ansu Fati is one of the most talented players coming out of La Masia in recent years. However, after a promising start to his senior Barcelona career, his growth trajectory has derailed, and his future with the club is highly uncertain.

Ansu Fati rose to prominence with his wonderful performances as he was incorporated into the first team from the subsidiary ranks. His ability to score goals even in limited minutes on the pitch made him a favorite of audiences at Camp Nou, and he was touted as the successor of Lionel Messi at the club.

However, the player has been extremely unlucky with injuries, as his physical problems kept him from keeping the growth trajectory he showed early in his career. While he has recovered from his injuries, he is yet to recover his goal-scoring form.

After some unimpressive performances, the player has fallen down in the pecking order, as Xavi has shown a preference for other players in his starting lineup. The change in formation from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2 has also not helped Fati get more time on the pitch.

Still, Ansu Fati retains significant value in himself as a player, and the club is aiming to cash on this valuable asset before his value declines further. As a result, the club is open to offers for the player, particularly to solve their financial fair play problems and lighten their wage bill.

In this context, the latest report from SPORT claims that the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has assured the club that he will bring a €70 million offer for Fati from a Premier League side. However, the player is not willing to leave the Catalans and aims to succeed at his boyhood club.

Furthermore, the assurance is only provided by the agent, and it is not clear whether this will actually realize this summer. Barcelona would be looking forward to such an offer, as it would provide them with some much-needed cash. As Fati is an academy product, the proceeds from such a transfer would all be recorded as a profit.
