With the international break soon coming to an end, FC Barcelona can finally return to normality. Several stars for La Blaugrana played well during this period away from club football, but now they return to their Spanish objectives.

However, club football does bring alongside it a rather unpleasant reality check. Multiple Barcelona stars are still currently out injured and may be doubtful for the next couple of games. Some prominent absentees all arrive from the frontline of FC Barcelona.

Polish striker Robert Lewandowski remains injured with his ankle strain. Moreover, teenage sensation Lamine Yamal also remains sidelined, although his return is not expected to take much longer. On top of that, Raphinha is also on the injury list, leaving Joao Felix and Ferran Torres as the available forwards.

With the game against Athletic Bilbao looming large and getting close, Barça are incredibly understaffed. As a result, it will once again have to be outside of the first team that La Blaugrana look for answers.

Consequently, as highlighted by SPORT, Barcelona will once again look towards the subsidiary. Two forwards that have been previously looked at due to Lewandowski’s injury were Pau Victor and Marc Guiu. It is expected that both of them will feature once again.

Pau Victor offers a unique style of play that does not exactly resemble the Polish striker’s. A much more subtle and technical player, the 21-year-old is not exactly a bullish striker. His qualities are more in line with traditional La Masia products rather than the target man approach of Barça’s Polish ace.

The other option, Marc Guiu, is a completely different story. A traditional striker through and through, much like Lewandowski, Guiu is an essential target man. Physically strong in his duels and eager to attack every chance that comes his way, the participation of the 17-year-old could surely make things interesting for FC Barcelona.

Lastly, a name that remains under the radar for now, Diego Pertejo Canseco. Commonly called Diego Percan, the 21-year-old striker is also in a good moment and could be given the call. His goal was the defining moment of the Barcelona Atletic clash against Teruel recently, with it winning the game 1-0 for Barça.
