With Xavi Hernandez set to say his goodbyes at FC Barcelona at the end of the current season, the media is abuzz with stories on possible candidates to replace the departing Barcelona head coach for the next season.

Several individuals, including Thiago Motta, Michel, Rafa Marquez, and most notably, Jurgen Klopp have been proposed as the possible successors of Xavi for the upcoming season.

As SPORT has noted, another name that has been considered in this regard is the former Bayern Munich and German national team coach, Hansi Flick. This option is also very popular at Barcelona and can be a candidate for Laporta as getting Klopp will be highly difficult.

Laporta is a big fan of the German school of coaches, and Flick is definitely one of the most notable names in this group. His winning of the sextuple with Bayern Munich in the 2019-20 season is a testament to his ability to lead a big club to unprecedented glory.

Flick replaced Niko Kovac at Bayern Munich and quickly made the Bavarians into an unstoppable juggernaut. With this team, Flick won all the possible trophies and also trampled Barcelona in the process with the unforgettable 8-2 scoreline.

In addition to making Bayern an unstoppable force, Flick also worked well with the youngsters, and it was also he who gave Jamal Musiala his first start in the first team to make him the youngest debutant in the Bundesliga.

This attribute of the German will make him a very attractive option for Barcelona, as the Catalans have a very young team, and also have several players like Yamal, Cubarsi, Fort, and Guiu coming up.

While his record with the German national team is not as exciting, he was eliminated from the group stage in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, he still remains a very good option for Barcelona going forward and is also without a team right now.
