Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Bernardo Silva are two players that remain on FC Barcelona’s bucket list of luxury signings that they would partake in without a doubt should variables align. Yet both the current Chelsea forward and Manchester City midfielder are being eyed by another club which dons the blue and red, that being Parisian side Paris Saint-Germain.
According to recent reports by ‘Le 10 Sport’, both players are amongst those that are on the radar of the French club, and may be targets they end up pursuing over the upcoming summer transfer window.
This would not be the first time that PSG has tried to approach a signing of Aubameyang. The former Barcelona striker from Gabon was also a priority of Al-Khelaifi, president of PSG, way back in 2017 when the forward was still playing his trade for German side Borussia Dortmund.
Now, as his relationship with Chelsea is seemingly taking a turn for the worse, the higher-ups at PSG certainly see him as a low-cost signing to bolster their already impressive attacking depth.
Staying in line with reports from England as well, as mentioned by ‘The Telegraph‘, Aubameyang would still want to continue his journey within Europe and would prefer to either stay at Chelsea or move to another big European side. Moreover, most reports suggest that his primary inclination would still be that of joining FC Barcelona, where he enjoyed a successful loan stint under the tutelage of Xavi Hernandez.
On the other hand, Portugal and Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva will indefinitely be a blockbuster signing. Carrying a hefty price tag, the current Citizen has been on FC Barcelona’s agenda for quite some time and has been pursued multiple times by Joan Laporta and his team to no avail thus far.
Yet, with PSG now in the mix of things, if the Catalans do still intend on his signing at any point, they ought to be prepared for a strong opposition in the bidding war and convincing the player himself of their respective projects.
