The need to evolve is eternal and relentless at clubs like FC Barcelona. In terms of evolution, there is a constant need to continue bringing fresh ideas to the table. Fortunately for Barcelona, their youth academy continues to provide them with new solutions.

Even in times of desperation, such as right now, Barcelona have a dependable quarry to rely on. Despite the injuries to the likes of Pedri, Gavi, and Frenkie De Jong, Xavi has a long list of exciting young talents ready to pounce if given the opportunity.

However, while names like Marc Casado and Pau Prim seem to have received the blessing of the Barcelona coach, others are not as fortunate. Another name who continues to knock on the Barça first team door is Noah Darvich, yet the German prodigy’s progression is a bit slower.

Aged just 17, Darvich is already a proven winner as he has a U-17 World Cup title to his name with Germany as the team’s captain. However, the reason as to why Barcelona seems to showcase a lack of faith in him when it comes to the first team is reminiscent of Ronald Araujo, as per SPORT.

The Uruguayan defender, when he first arrived from his home country, also took time to adapt. Just as Darvich is using this time to absorb more and more of the Barça DNA, the club once ensured that Araujo also had a great understanding of how to play for the first team and deliver at the biggest stage.

For Darvich, they similarly hope for an identical evolution to that of Araujo’s. While every player undoubtedly takes their own time to develop and reach their potential, Darvich is too special of a talent for Barça to unnecessarily let go to waste or ruin his progression.

In the upcoming game against Mallorca, Darvich has an opportunity to be called up by Xavi in light of his depleted squad. However, even if he does not, the player can continue to learn the ways of Barcelona under the tutelage of Rafa Marquez.
