FC Barcelona will be looking to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season, especially keeping in view the below-expectations performance given by the team up to this point in the current season.
However, the club will need a significant boost to their finances in order to be able to undertake their operations in the market.
As already reported here, the Catalans can generate a significant amount of money from sales of some former players on whom Barcelona still have a share on any future proceeds.
Furthermore, another way in which Barcelona can obtain this income is by permanently parting with some on-loan players, and Mundo Deportivo has identified three players in particular who have a realistic chance of being permanently bought by their current clubs.
Chadi Riad
The center-back has been making the headlines recently with his good performances at Real Betis. The Verdiblancos are willing to exercise the option to get half of his rights for €3 million.
However, Barcelona have also reportedly decided to exercise their €7 million buyback option to bring him back next summer, once he officially becomes a Real Betis player.
Sergino Dest
The USA international has found form in the Eredivisie once again after his uneventful time at Barcelona and AC Milan. He has become an important part of Peter Bosz’s team, and PSV Eindhoven can purchase the fullback for €10 million, but Barcelona will have an undisclosed share to any future fees.
Estanis Pedrola
Pedrola has played 9 Serie B matches with Sampdoria this season, scoring three goals in the process. As is the case with Riad at Real Betis, Sampdoria have the option to get Pedrola for €3 million at the end of the season. However, Barcelona will have a €7 million buyback option and a 50% right on any future fee paid for the player.
