There has been turmoil at Barcelona recently, both on and off the field. Recent struggles against teams not as well-equipped as them have garnered numerous criticisms of both Barcelona itself and Xavi Hernandez as the man leading the project forward.

One of the primary issues that Barça has undoubtedly had to deal with in the recent games has been a lack of goals. Perhaps due to a lack of verticality or even just ruing missed chances, Barcelona have a major concern that needs fixing.

In steps Vitor Roque, a Brazilian gem that is slated to join Barcelona sooner or later. However, as SPORT reports, Barcelona are now leaning towards making the ‘sooner’ option a reality. With earlier reports suggesting he would arrive in January or 2024, recent ones have stated that the likelihood of that happening is a bit on the low side.

Yet, Barcelona do remain strong optimists and are looking to make it happen. Financial fair play is quite restrictive in the case of La Blaugrana, and as such, they need to create new ways to welcome funds. One such method could be a sale linked to Barça Studios.

Thus far, there are a number of interested parties. One of the most prominent one hails from Mexico, as per SPORT. However, the finalization of this sale will be crucial if Barcelona want to create that additional space with FFP in order to incorporate the 18-year-old Brazilian striker in January.

However, there is also another option that is rather unorthodox. Despite having his commitment to join the club, Barcelona could look to negotiate a 6-month loan deal with Athletico Paranaense. This would allow the player to represent Barcelona between January till the summer of 2024.

Given that the season for the Brazilian side more or less comes to a close in December, there is that slight hope of making such a deal happen. Roque’s desire to come to Barça as well as Deco’s good connections in Brazil could be additionally beneficial factors that work in favor of the Catalan giants.

In other news, Vitor Roque has also reportedly recovered from his previous injury. Having been sidelined since September, the player is set to appear in Athletico Paranaense’s next game as well. This should give many fans of even Barcelona an opportunity to look into the player’s ability firsthand if he manages to get some minutes in.
