Vitor Roque is one of the most promising talents coming through the ranks in Brazil, and FC Barcelona have been strongly linked with him recently. While the Catalan club works on bringing him to the club, the starlet himself has continued with his strong form.

Vitor Roque announced himself to the World in the recent South American Under 20 Championship. The Brazilians came out as the winner of the tournament, and Roque was the top scorer of the tournament. The Brazilian has also achieved another personal milestone as he was called up by the interim Brazil coach, Ramon Menezes.

Thus, he is in the Brazil squad that is expected to play a friendly match against Morocco in Tangier, and the low pressure in the friendly means that Roque can actually make his senior team debut in this match.

He has also continued his hot form with his club, Athletico Paranaense, as he recently scored in the match against Independiente de São Paulo in the quarterfinals of the Campeonato Paranaense, which ultimately ended in a 2-5 victory for Roque’s team.

The goal came from the penalty spot, and was the first club goal for the youngster, in his only second appearance for the year 2023. This impressive performance is built on the performances of last year, during which he scored 14 goals in 52 games.

Athletico Paranaense has already indicated the presence of suitors for the Brazilian, as he recently commented to the media that there is currently “a race” for the talented youngster. The player himself has also admitted his admiration for the Catalan club, while he also likened himself to the legendary Barcelona striker Luis Suarez recently.
