In many ways, the youth of FC Barcelona are the soul that manage to keep the team alive. Sportingly, those young faces in the team are often times the heroes of difficult moments and help the team escape embarrassment. Other times, Barcelona can also count on them as financial assets of significant value.

Such is the nature of the surreal talents that Barcelona currently have at their disposal. The Blaugranes are certain that with the new names that continue to pop out of the subsidiary as sensational talents, the club can once again rise to their lost heights. Moreover, even the valuation given to those players would back that up.

As highlighted by SPORT, and according to the evaluation of Transfermarkt, certain La Masia talents have risen to new heights themselves. Four La Masia products, specifically, have seen their values surge following their respective breakout seasons under the tutelage of Xavi Hernandez during the ongoing campaign.

Marc Guiu (€7.5 million):

A traditional number nine with the traits of a brute-like center forward, Marc Guiu is quite the abnormality. Unorthodox for a La Masia player, the strong forward has still managed to capture the hearts of many through his own unique displays.

Thanks to his goals and his solid cameos this season, his value has surged quite noticeably. Previously valued at €2.5 million, the Spaniard is now valued at €7.5 million by Transfermarkt.

Hector Fort (€7.5 million):

Just like Marc Guiu, Hector Fort has managed to rise to the same heights. The Spanish fullback, through his resilient and versatile displays of quality, has earned the right to be considered as one of La Masia’s best products in recent times.

His value surge sees him explode from a €1 million valuation to one that is now set at €7.5 million, the exact same as Guiu’s.

Pau Cubarsi (€25 million):

A true revelation this season for Barcelona, Pau Cubarsi has almost single-handedly rekindled a defensive revolution at Barça. From his ball playing to his strong defensive feats against top strikers, this 17-year-old defender is in a league of his own.

In terms of value, his jump has been immense. As per the latest updated Transfermarkt valuations, Cubarsi has jumped from a previous value of €1.5 million to now a much more significant €25 million. Bar for one player, the defender’s jump feels almost astronomical, and in terms of relativity to previous valuations, his jump is still the biggest.

Lamine Yamal (€75 million):

There was never really a doubt that young Lamine Yamal would aim for the greatest prizes in football. However, it is safe to say his progression is still nothing short of unreal. Only at the age of 16, he is already Barça’s third most valuable player behind only Pedri and Gavi.

Courtesy of his big performances and massive moments of significance, Lamine Yamal has seen his previous value of €60 million rise even higher. Now, at €75 million, Yamal continues to run through uncharted territory as he establishes and creates new history.
