Barcelona remains in dire need of a boost as they head into the second half of their ongoing campaign. The first half did not exactly end on a high note given their struggles in La Liga and how they are slowly falling behind their rivals. However, 2024 promises to bring Barcelona new opportunities to take advantage of.

These opportunities also come in the form of new competitions they can take part in. For instance, their upcoming challenges in Saudi Arabia will assure them of a chance to participate in the Spanish Super Cup. It will not only yield financial benefits, but also could provide a great mental boost for the rest of the season.

However, motivation and good gestures are always a welcome addition ahead of a game. For this reason, as SPORT highlights, Gavi’s recent nod to his team on his social media account on Instagram comes at a very positive moment for the team.

Not quite active on the platform since his injury, Gavi’s decision to share a nod to his team comes at a great surprise. The club even acknowledged the player’s positive message and shared it on their own platforms.

Gavi, on the other hand, continues his personal recovery following his ACL injury. Having suffered the problem while on international duty with Spain, the young Barcelona prodigy has since been ruled out for the rest of the season. While his recovery is said to be going positively, he will still be unable to return at this point of the season.

Moreover, even though he could possibly recover ahead of the Olympic games and the EUROS, the Spanish National team reportedly believes it is still too soon to take the player with them to the competitions. Instead, he will be given the required time to rest and rehabilitate after a length recovery.

For Barcelona, the objective for Gavi remains having him available from the start of next season. As for right now, they focus towards the Spanish Super Cup, which presents them with a great chance to add silverware to their tough season ahead.
